The Canoeing Ireland Level 3 River Kayak Skills training brings brings paddlers to moving water and introduces the white water environment. The two-day Level 3 River Kayak Training (L3RKT) course is aimed specifically at those who have successfully completed Level 2 Skills Training and who are interested in progressing their whitewater paddling skills.

Course Duration
The course takes place over two full days, generally at weekends. Start times are 9.00 AM with a finish time of approximately 5PM.
What Gets Covered?
The Level 3 proficiency course introduces a number of new strokes such as the Bow Rudder, Stern Rudder, High Brace, and Hanging Draw. Moving water techniques with focus on Breaking In and Out and Ferry Gliding. Participants will also be introduced to wave and hole surfing along with practicing the Eskimo roll. We also offer specific rolling sessions separately.
